I am always looking for the newest, trendiest, funnest packaging, best dewiest coverage, and in this case, the most innovative one on the market. Yes, you heard right, this is Korea’s ‘botox filler cushion’ by Troiareuke. Nothing short of spectacular based on reviews, this product is now in my hands, and has soon reached one of my holy grails.

This is the 3rd and newest premium cushion to the Troiareuke line. What makes this product stand out from the get-go is the formulation of 99% skincare and 1% makeup. True to Troiareuke’s philosophy of skin first, this cushion focuses on skin health while providing beautiful lightweight coverage. I have to introduce their two previous cushions for you to understand why this one is the crème de la crème. Troiareuke H+ is their “healing” cushion made with a unique Water Wrapping System (WWS) – a technology that allows the product to form a thin layer of moisture on the surface, while protecting it from external aggressors. The other is the Troiareuke A+ Cushion for “acne” skin. It uses a Sebum Control System (SCS) and Smart Moisture Capture System (SMC) that controls oil, treat acne skin and allows you to experience all day skin hydration. Now comes the Seoul Aesthetic Cushion that has WWS, SCS and SMC combined. Being skin health focused, the cushion doesn’t use any mineral oil and silicone like in other makeup that can suffocate the skin while trying to impart a smooth texture. Makeup Benefits and my Review
The products comes with two additional facial pads in total. When the compact is first opened, the cushion appears not to be soaked in much product at all. This is a unique property along with the denser cushion sponge that holds the foundation within the core, and preserves product and minimizes oxidation. When you press on the cushion for the first time, the product is dispensed into the cushion. It comes in one shade, 23 but designed to be suitable for those with shades 17-23 . I am usually shade 21. I would describe the cushion to be a light natural beige that blends very naturally with my skin tone. The application is velvety smooth, and adds plenty of moisture to the skin to make the skin look naturally radiant. The product feels weightless on the skin and provide a buildable medium coverage. Any redness and uneven skin tone are easily covered with one layer; additional layer helped to vanish any dark pigmentation, fine lines and pores. I dislike heaviness of makeup so this product is great for me because it completely refined my complexion without looking or feeling like I have any foundation on at all. Another concern of mine with makeup is always the staying power. Sometimes as the day goes on, product starts to slip off if I touch my face. This product does not budge at all! I’ve accidentally scratched my face a few times, and there was no product on my hands. When I use it as a light makeup, it will provide me with long lasting results, up to 16 hours (the longest duration of which I had this on), even in hot humid weather.
Housed in a convenient compact, this cushion is excellent for everyday use as a last step in your skincare. This is a perfect collaboration between skincare and makeup.
If you are looking for a light yet medium coverage foundation with all the benefits of spf, anti-aging and skin brightening, this one is definitely a highly recommended in my books.
